I totally agree. My first wife and I were a completely happy couple for 30 years, and we were both able to have sex with other people, either independently or together. Enjoying sex with other people has nothing to do with happiness in a relationship. I think that freedom, if there's love in the couple and no lies, is beneficial to the relationship.

Your response is over simplified. The definition of a truly happy marriage is rooted in mutual respect and fidelity, not excusing infidelity or superficial satisfaction built on gendered double standards

 That depends on your definition of "happy marriage".  The question begs the difference between a "happy married woman" and a soon to be divorced one. The "happy married woman" is an insatiable whore who can not be satisfied with just her husband's cock but other cocks as well.  The soon to be divorced one was looking at your direction for a hookup ....and a place to land once the divorce was over.  There are lots of "happy marriages" where one or the other partner (mostly men) can have a discreet indiscretion on the side due to a high sexual quotient.

Stop for a moment and think about your last sentence. "married women who cheat on the side in a happy marriage." There is no happy marriage that they're in. Psychologically they wouldn't be seeking sexual satisfaction outside of their marriage surreptitiously if they didn't have the pathology that made them do this. So, these are soon-to-be-divorced women NOT currently married (and supposedly happy in their marriages) women.   That's different.  I was asking about married women who cheat on the side in a happy marriage.
